Terms of Service

The service

We grant your school a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Booraverse Schoolsduring your subscription, for your school’s own administration. We may improve, change, or add features. You are responsible for your account and for the accounts of the staff, parents, and pupils you authorise.

Your responsibilities for data

You are the controller of data about your pupils and families; we are your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use that data — including verifiable parental consent where the law requires it for a child — for providing your own privacy notice, for the accuracy of the data, and for correcting or erasing it on a valid request (the service provides the tools). Only enable sensitive-data collection, such as blood group, where you have the lawful basis to do so, and only for the stated purpose.

Acceptable use

You and your users must not break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload malware, attempt to breach security or reach another school’s data, or misuse the AI, messaging, or export features. We may suspend access to address a serious or urgent risk, and will tell you.

AI features — drafts and suggestions, not decisions

Some optional features use a third-party AI model (see the Privacy Policy). AI output is a draft or a suggestion, never a decision. Insights about a child are for guidance only; drafts and generated papers must be reviewed by a person before use. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate, complete, original, or fit for any purpose, and it must not be treated as professional advice about a child. You are responsible for what you input and for anything you send out or act on.

Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the service. You own your data. As between us, you own the content the AI features generate for you to the extent it is capable of ownership, and you are responsible for reviewing it and for its use. You grant us the limited rights to host and process your data needed to provide the service.

Fees

Subscription fees, billing, and taxes are as agreed with you. The service records school fees and receipts for your administration but does not itself collect card or bank payments from families.

Data protection

Our processing of your data is governed by a Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms, and we use the sub-processors listed on our site.

Warranties and disclaimers

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Except as expressly stated, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent the law allows. In particular, we do not warrant that using the service makes you compliant with any law; meeting your obligations as controller is your responsibility, and features that help with compliance are tools, not a guarantee of any legal outcome.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or lost profits or data, and each party’s total liability is capped as set out in your agreement. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Term, termination, and your data on exit

These terms run for your subscription. Either party may terminate for material breach that is not cured within a reasonable period. On termination we will, at your choice, return or delete your data, except where law requires retention.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
